Many of you know that Copaiba has helped with migraines in our family - My son (now age 8) experienced his first one in November of 2021 at the age of 6. We lost him neurologically (meaning he didn’t know who we were or where he was) for approx 8 hours and it was actually the scariest thing I have ever lived through.

Enter Copaiba - We dump it under the tongue and It has helped down regulate the visual component (ocular/auras) of migraines for his dad. And, since these migraines seem to be genetic genetic, the prayer is that Copaiba helps him too.

There is evidence for the role of our endocannibinoid system in visual processing and migraine progression, and pain. Not just the experience of pain but the inflammation behind the pain.

doTERRA’s copaiba is 70% beta-carophyllene (BCP). BCP is a cannabinoid (like CBD, but better IMHO) and is known to bind DIRECTLY to receptors in our endocannibinoid system. (CBD doesn’t have direct binding which means more unintended side-effects, which could be positive or negative…we just don’t know, and I don’t love that we don’t know). Furthermore, BCP does not bind to the endocannibinoid receptors in our central nervous system meaning that there are zero regulatory issues with its use - makes life easier!

If you or a loved one is struggling with sensory issues or chronic pain, please give this a try. Gentle...and what we've seen is that it works.

For me personally, 2-3 drops under my tongue calms down my entire nervous system. It helps me feel more settled and less reactive, and therefore able to SEE my loved ones.
