6 SHIFTS TO NOTICE AS YOU ARE HEALING
6 shifts for you to notice as you’re healing…
BEFORE:
A clinging to a packed full schedule – often an attempt to manage uncontrolled anxiety
Food is used for emotional reasons
Constant communication with others – often a hidden way we can use others to regulate our own nervous system
Feeling a need to act fine even when we aren’t… a pressure to “be ok”
Exercise is necessary to manage anxiety
Numerous projects and a never ending to-do list
AFTER:
Comfortable with empty space and can sit without a need to fill the time
Food used as nourishment – only
Comfortable being alone with the thoughts inside your head
Able to express honest and raw emotion to others
Lack of exercise doesn’t create guilt or a mental spiral
Focused efforts around a sense of purpose
I went to bed last night with this post running through my brain. BEFORE vs AFTER (or at the point I’m at now) and wanted to share it with you… The last 3 years have been quite the journey.
When I was thinking about what was the catalyst for these shifts in my own life I realized that it was a BIG ADMISSION to recognize that my brain/body/spirit/heart absolutely needed support.
And with the recognition that I needed support means that I made a commitment to take care of my mental health without wavering in the basics.
The Lifelong Vitality Pack is a non-negotiable in my life. Vitamins/minerals/omega’s/enzymes – mental health IS physical health. I believe my brain is able to be quiet now because of a long-standing commitment to giving my body the basics it needs. I now also use Mito2Max, Copaiba softgels, and the Bone Nutrient Complex daily. Those have been slowly added in over time but LLV was where I started for 2 years.
I’ve also established a rhythm of using essential oils and listening to my nose. This makes me laugh because yesterday I was feeling more low than usual when I woke up and I literally “yelled” at myself and said…. “STEPH YOU HAVE ALL THE TOOLS…USE THEM!!!”
So I put Elevation in the diffuser (RIP special lblend…can’t buy this one anymore but Malama is similar or even Lavender, Sandalwood and Citrus Bloom together!) and went about my day.
Anyways… I know this is long but I want to encourage every single one of you to recognize you get to have support…. and to make it non-negotiable. I didn’t do this for far too long because I told myself I “shouldn’t need it” and I “should be fine” and “I should be fine without supplements.”
I wasn’t though.
And they have made a world of difference…. a LONGGGG commitment to myself in one direction is paying off and I’m so very grateful.
Can you relate?
